Four Ways to Wear a Neck Tie

Fabrics and metal tightly adorn the neck. It can be the instant ounce of edge. From choker necklaces to bandannas to this neck tie. Here are four ways I like to rock one in a hot, earthy shade of rust.

  1. Tie into a bow at the front with the bow in the middle or to the side.
  2. Cross the middle of the neck tie at the front of your neck, overlap at the back of the neck, and bring each end to each side to lay evenly at your front.
  3. Tie with a knot at the front with the knot in the middle or to the side.
  4. How I have it: Tie a bow at the back, so the ends cascade your back like the picture above!

This tank top and neck tie set are not attached and come in four colors for under $10. Steal of the day!

My beloved nephew, Newton, joins me on most of my photo adventures. When he saw me sit down, he hopped right onto my lap. I loooooove this happy guy so much!!!

Let me tell you about some gems that I discovered at Pop Shop Houston over the weekend! Pop Shop is a craft and art festival that hosts different events showcasing local art makers and fair trade movers complete with DJ's, live music, DIY workshops, food trucks, and art exhibitions. It was my first time attending, and I was there for hooours perusing and admiring the handmade, vintage, and one-of-a-kind pieces, like my latest babies, this agate ring and purse.

TIP: There was an $8 cover fee to enter that was good for both days. But! The vendors had promotions at their booths, so I got great deals on the items I purchased!

The sparkles (that pictures do not show...at all) of this rainbow druzy quartz ring caught my eye. I put it on and did not take it off. Welp, I just did not want to, and it is home with me now. It is beautifully made by a local artist, Kendra Jones. With the specific metals she used, I was happy to hear that this ring will not tarnish nor irritate my sensitive skin, and last for decades. And, this purse was handmade by artisans in India. I fell in love with the bright colors, the details, and the pom-poms.

Texas summers last almost the ENTIRE year and are pretty brutal with heat indexes above 100 degrees and more humidity than Florida. I like how a choker can pull a look together, and that this neck tie adds a sophisticated finish, while soaking up major sweat. Double duty! :)

How will you dress your neck?
